A keeper, a job interview and snow

Sometimes when we're out in public Gary will burst out in spontaneous dance or song. I happened to capture my man busting out some moves in a grocery store on the second to last day of 2012. Oh how I love him.

Let me tell you a little bit about my husband. Yesterday I had a job interview at 3 PM in Brussels. Since I can't drive yet I was figuring out how to get there by train. As it turned out all the train stations were at least a 30 minute walk away. I don't know the bus and tram system in Brussels (yet) nor how the subway works (yet) and I didn't know what to do. And then my knight in shining armor came to my rescue. He said he'd drive me. He had to get up at 4 AM to go to work, only finished work at 1.30 PM but he'd still drive me. In fact he drove home straight from work, picked me up at the corner of our street and off to Brussels we were. Then, of course, nerves hit me full force and I couldn't stop crying. Again he calmed me and reassured me that I could do it. We didn't get home till 7.30 PM and an hour later Gary already had to go to bed again.

I'm not sure why God blessed me so abundantly with Gary but every single day I am thankful for that man. He always points me to God and he always has my back. What a man, he's a keeper!

A few scenes from Brussels including lots of traffic.

A few hours after we came home it started snowing. Big fluffy flakes for hours on end. It snowed even more this morning.

Now I'm anxiously waiting for Gary to come home from work. We're going to a local soup bar. I think a bowl of hot fresh soup will be the perfect lunch on this cold day. Afterwards we'll go on a stroll and run a few errands. Maybe we'll even stop for a hot chocolate along our way. I live for simple days like today.
